MUSIC

For Kashubian Canadians – It is the fiddle and guitar which are popular. Fifth and sixth generation still play the old time Kashubian fiddle tunes which were brought over from Kashubia in 1858. You can hear this fiddle music played at weddings,

parties and at our annual Kashub Day Festival which happens on the first Saturday in May. Today along with the old time Kashubia tunes, the Kashubs are picking up new fiddle tunes from the local Irish.
